Note: Refari follow a set of standards when building a website to ensure the quality and performance of our client’s website, we only use the same set of plugins that have been tested and proven across all website’s we’ve built. If your website is built by Refari, your website will be using the Rank Math SEO plugin.

In this article we will be showing the steps on how to add Open Graph images on your website.

There’s two ways to set an Open Graph image in your website, the first option is global, the second option is to set specific Open Graph images in specific pages or blog posts.

Add a Global Open Graph image to you website

First within your website's Dashboard, click on Rank Math Seo and then Titles and Meta

Now in Global Meta, scroll down to 'OpenGraph Thumbnail'

Click on 'Add or Upload File' and click on Upload Files

Click on 'Select Files' and locate the file on your hard drive. Click on the image that you have just uploaded and click on 'Use this file'

You will then be taken back to the Global Meta, you then need to scroll down and click on 'Save Changes'

Add or update Open Graph Image on a specific page

To add or update an Open Graph image to a specific page, navigate to Pages, and then click on edit on the page you want to update.

Scroll down to the Rank Math SEO section and click on 'Social'

You will now see a 'Preview Snipped Editor'. As we've Globally set the OpenGraph image earlier, the OG image will be seen however we can overwrite this just for this page.

Scroll down and click on 'Add image' and upload the image as previously.

When the image has been selected, you can close the popup using the X and click on 'Update' in the top right hand corner.

To check the open graph image for any page you can visit this link: https://www.opengraph.xyz/

Simply paste your website page URL in the input field and click the “Check Website” button, then it will display a preview of your webpage Open Graph Image.
