Some jobs not showing on LinkedIn or showing an incorrect location - how to fix!

The short answer is, the 'detailed location data' we have for that job advert is either incorrect or contradictory to your 'Job Portal location data.'

OK, now onto the long answer: When job adverts are collected from our feed with Linkedin they require more location-specific information than what is typically provided to us via a job advert. Within Refari we break this down into the following terminology.

Job Portal Location  - typically a location required for our job board. This may be a single location field such as "Sydney" or if the job board is using a 'parent-child' location schema it might have a slightly different structure. Here are two examples below.

Single location schema

Parent-Child location schema

Detailed location - is not presented on your job board because we want to keep your candidate's user experience as easy to navigate as possible. However, we need to present this detailed location to some third-party job boards who request this additional information. LinkedIn is one of these third-party job boards.

This is typically provided to us via the location on the Job Record in your ATS. If the detailed location is incorrect then LinkedIn may choose to simply not present the Job on your company page, or they may present it with the incorrect location. Specifically the three fields we really need to see from this detailed location are:  CITY, STATE, COUNTRY
