How to get your jobs on your LinkedIn company page

This article explains the options for getting your jobs onto your LinkedIn company page now that LinkedIn's job listing options have changed. It covers the supported paid route (LinkedIn Job Slots filled automatically by Refari), the free alternative (sharing adverts as posts via Socialise), and the legacy setup steps that still apply if you already have a free jobs feed connected to your LinkedIn company page.

Note: A note on LinkedIn's free job listings: LinkedIn has been winding back its free job listing option (Basic jobs, previously Limited Listings) and now generally requires jobs from recruitment and staffing companies to be paid placements. New free feed connections are no longer accepted. To have your jobs appear in the Jobs tab of your LinkedIn company page, you will need LinkedIn Job Slots, which Refari fills automatically via Job Wrapping.

The supported option: LinkedIn Job Slots and Job Wrapping

If you want your roles to appear in the Jobs tab of your LinkedIn company page, the supported route is to buy LinkedIn Job Slots and let Refari fill them automatically. There are two parts to this:

  1. You arrange the Job Slots with LinkedIn. Speak to your LinkedIn account manager about purchasing Job Slots for your company page. Job Slots are how LinkedIn now lets recruitment and staffing companies place jobs, so this step is between you and LinkedIn.
  2. Refari fills the slots for you. Once your slots are active, Refari posts your job adverts into them automatically through our XML feed. This is called Job Wrapping, and it means there is no manual reposting to do: as roles are added or updated in Refari, the feed keeps your LinkedIn slots up to date.
Idea: Job Wrapping also enriches the data LinkedIn receives (for example, work type and seniority), which helps your roles show up correctly. To understand how Refari wraps your jobs into LinkedIn slots, see the Job Wrapping article linked at the end of this guide.

The free option: sharing jobs via Socialise

If you do not have Job Slots, you can still get your roles in front of your LinkedIn audience for free using Refari's Socialise feature. Socialise lets you share a job advert straight to your LinkedIn company page as a post, so it appears in the page feed alongside your other updates.

This is a good way to keep your followers up to date and drive traffic to your job board. It is worth knowing the difference between the two routes:

  • Job Slots (paid) place your roles in the dedicated Jobs tab of your company page.
  • Socialise (free) shares each advert as a post in your company page feed, not in the Jobs tab.

For step-by-step instructions on sharing an advert, see the Socialise article linked at the end of this guide.

For existing LinkedIn jobs connections

Note: This section is for companies that already have a free jobs feed flowing to their LinkedIn company page. LinkedIn no longer accepts new free feed connections, so if you are setting things up for the first time, use one of the two options above instead.

If your free listings are already connected and working, the original setup mechanics still apply. To point Refari at the right company page, you need to enter your Company LinkedIn URL in your company settings.

Finding and entering your Company LinkedIn URL

  1. Go to your LinkedIn company page while signed in as an admin.
  2. Copy the page URL. It will look something like this: https://www.linkedin.com/company/18199356/admin/
  3. Strip off the "admin/" part to create a URL like this: https://www.linkedin.com/company/18199356/
  4. Enter that URL in the Company LinkedIn URL field on your company settings page.

Provide a detailed location on every job

LinkedIn needs a detailed location to accept a job from our feed, so make sure every job order linked to your adverts includes a full city, state and country. Jobs without a detailed location will not be accepted by LinkedIn. If some of your roles are missing or showing the wrong location, see the troubleshooting article linked at the end of this guide.

How quickly will jobs be collected?

LinkedIn refreshes the data we provide roughly every 24 hours, so it can take up to a day for new adverts to appear on your LinkedIn company page. The same applies to changes: if you update an advert, it can take up to 24 hours for that update to be reflected.

Final Notes

For new setups, the reliable path to the Jobs tab is paid LinkedIn Job Slots filled by Refari via Job Wrapping, and Socialise is the free way to share roles to your page feed. If you already have a free jobs feed connected and your listings stop appearing, check that each role has a full city, state and country, and allow up to 24 hours for the feed to refresh before troubleshooting further.
