How to respond to a public testimonial

You can now respond to testimonials. Not only can you respond you can respond BOTH publicly and privately.

A public response is exactly that, it can be seen by everyone.

A private response is a reply that is sent directly to the testimonial author.

Below is an example of the response page and in this article, we show you how to get to this page.

When a candidate has been placed in a job they applied for they are sent a final email communication asking them to leave a testimonial and hopefully this is a positive 5* testimonial. This final email communication does ask them to post the testimonial to Facebook, Google or LinkedIn but sometimes candidates or clients may skip this stage.

Sending a private response after a few days can remind them / request again in a more personal nature and can increase the amount of testimonials posted to social media.

To send a response, we first need to navigate to the TopRec Feedback which is via 'TopRec' and then 'TopRec feedback'

You can then click on any of the feedback shown in the feedback list. Remember any that have Status of a green tick are visible on your testimonial widget and these are the most important to respond to in order to try and get a testimonial posted to social media.

In this example, I'm choosing the top testimonial from 'Tom Bellamy' .

Clicking anywhere on the row will show the following response popup

We can then enter a public response and / or a private response. If you enter a public response, this will appear both on this page and also on the reviews widget.

Sending a private response is slightly different as instead of it being visible it will send a direct email communication to the candidate or client with a link to help them post the review to Facebook or Google. Always remember to click 'Submit' when you have entered the response. The Public and Private Response have their own submit buttons!

Here is an example of the email that the candidate/client will receive.

If the candidate/client clicks on the 'Post Facebook Review' link they are taken to their Refari dashboard and straight to their review and allows them to quickly post their review to the social media network that you selected when sending the private response.

Sending a personal private response and only selecting one social media platform will encourage candidates/clients to post their testimonials to social media platforms without overwhelming them with choice.
