How to increase & decrease spacing/padding from posts using Elementor

You've created a blog post/new page and all the content is there but there appears to be huge spaces in between the sections which you don't really want. This space is called 'padding' and we can reduce this by using Elementor.

Below is an example of a page with padding at the top and bottom of the section.

We can reduce this whilst we are adding content to our page/blog. If you are not currently editing your page/blog, simply log back in to your Wordpress account, find the page/post and click on 'Edit with Elementor'

We've opened the page now and we are now going to find the section with the padding we want to reduce and find the 6 dots to edit the section which will be visible when clicking on the section.

Now on the left hand side, we will be able to edit the section. We need to click on 'Advanced'.

We need to look for the Padding options and we can see that the Top and Bottom here has a padding of 100.

We recommend hovering over the number and using the arrows to increase/decrease the padding. This allows you to click the arrows to increase/decrease whilst watching your content in the middle of the screen to see the padding increasing/decreasing. This allows you to set the padding to exactly what you want.

In our example, we reduced the padding to 25 for both the Top and Bottom and the padding has been massively reduced and the post looks much better.

The final step is to simply click 'Update' or 'Publish' which will either be in the bottom left hand corner or top right hand corner.

Your post will now be updated with the padding changes!
